The Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale, Wisconsin was nothing short of epic – Between my amazing Bride, “Clare ” – Who’s creative touches amazed all, to the lovely photography couple, “Jeff Loves Jessica” , this 1 1/2 drive from the city was a complete pleasure.
The Bride’s skin tends to redden easy. To combat this, I used a calming and complementary base. It was a beautiful, but hot day, so I used a special airbrushed foundation to give her makeup longevity, while still maintaining a light and natural feel. There are many airbrushed foundations and techniques – I chose one that is matte, and slightly opaque. A heavier touch on her “redder” areas, and lighter around her eyes and noes – Therefore, it softened her freckles, without making her face look super-imposed on her body by erasing them completely – It was the perfect way to show off her natural beauty!
I wanted to add a little umph to her smooth, stylish bun, so I added some synthetic hair to her medium length bob (shhh – our secret!) The synthetic hair was easily bobby-pinned in, and could be used over and over depending on the care of it – This solution is under $10.
